Course Description: Join Ruthie Fraser for an introduction to Body Rewilding, an original movement method informed by Structural Integration principles, Yoga, and other somatic traditions. Body Rewilding is a developing approach to advancing the goals of Structural Integration, guiding a constructive home-practice for clients, and inspiring personal inquiry and growth. In addition to engaging clients in structural and functional change to promote natural human movement, Body Rewilding also encourages clients to explore their own kinesthetic impulses and desires. Body Rewilding works towards healing and also wholing by exploring the physicality of archetypes and the study of personal tendencies, strengths, and areas that need cultivation. In this one hour intensive, Ruthie will present the pillars of this approach, engage participants in some live movement work, and offer movement skills and tools that you can bring to your clients immediately.

 Who should attend:

  • take a peek into the elements of an original movement method that utilizes Structural Integration principles as its foundation
  • earn a new framework for approaching movement coordination work, re-patterning work, and corrective exercise with your clients
  • learn how this method incorporates deeper levels of personhood into somatic exploration and practice, beyond only movement mechanics
  • learn how archetypes live within us as physical patterns that are ingrained or hidden—experience a few basic Body Rewilding practices in your own body
  • learn a few basic Body Rewilding practices that you can bring to your clients
