Course Description:

The Manual NVR techniques in Part 1 are for release of the neurovasculature of the neck, chest, and “roots of the arms,” including brachial plexus, dura, vagus and phrenic nerves, internal thoracic artery, vertebral and carotid arteries, and arteries to shoulder muscles and lungs.

Manual therapists who have attended Kier’s NVR Online webinars (introducing a movement-based, self-treatment version of Neurovascular Release) have been eagerly waiting for the return of Kier’s manual NVR courses. Whether you have already experienced those webinars or not, this course will be transformative for your manual practice.

NVR is more than a set of techniques to help you improve functional issues and resolve pain. This work will change the way you use your current skill set of myofascial techniques. It will shed new light on common postural habits and will help you change problematic structural patterns that haven’t responded to other interventions.

In Part 1 of the course series, expect to gain new skills for precisely addressing neck stiffness and restriction related to old whiplash injuries. Improve breathing and shoulder movement. Understand and practice nerve root release and gentle targeted vascular stretches to improve thoracic outlet symptoms and chronic upper thoracic discomfort. If you are already familiar with nerve manipulation but haven’t worked with arteries, the vascular work will surprise and delight you.

Note: Structural Integrators should take Manual NVR-SI Part 1 instead of this course. The Manual NVR curriculum has two separate learning pathways—one for structural integrators and one for other manual therapists.

If you have questions about which learning pathway you belong in, please schedule a 1-to-1 with Kier, so that they can meet you and answer your questions.

**Preparatory and follow-up details:

You will have early access to the online learning platform where you can watch videos of Kier introducing the relevant anatomy for this course. After completing this live course, the online learning platform will provide you with recordings from the live course, as well as shorter review videos of individual techniques. (This is your online technique library.)

  • Online technique video library
  • A month of access to free private fifteen-minute Zoom calls for consulting on client cases
  • A group seminar via Zoom meeting for technique and strategy review (will be held at two different times to accommodate people calling in from various time zones)

One of the post-course seminars will be held on September 11, 8-9:30 am Pacific Time (GMT-7). The other option will be determined in August, when the students attending the course will have input regarding the best alternative time.

  • Ongoing student pricing for 45-minute private Zoom mentoring sessions

If you have questions about this training, you are welcome to schedule a 1-to-1 with Kier, so that they can meet you and answer your questions.
