Course Description:

This is a three-part continuing education program for those interested in deepening and expanding their professional practice of Structural Integration. Based in the Rolf Method of Structural Integration, in this training you will learn the skills and process in the work and teachings of Dr. Ida P. Rolf while refining your method. The Advanced 5 Series is learned and experienced in new approaches with techniques unique to the advanced integration process. The Classic Ten Series is the prelude for the advanced work, so we will review and revisit the 10 series, anatomy, body reading, and movement. It is my intention to refine and enhance your skillset by demonstration in learning to accomplish your goals more quickly as you reinvigorate yourself in the structural integration process.

Overview: Teacher demos of both the 5 and 10 series, discussions before and after the sessions. Advanced concepts in movement, learning to cue our clients for greater participation in developing self-awareness and gaining specific responses. You will receive the Advanced Five Series through a partner exchange with a fellow student. You will have three models, two for the Advanced 5 Series and one for the Classic Ten Series. The Advanced Five Series will be a new process in working with clients that progresses from table to bench to floor to standing. This training is for your clients, for those seeking post basic work, post three series, post tune-up sessions. This work is for your clients seeking greater embodiment in the Structural Integration experience.

Larry Phipps has studied with Emmett Hutchins, Stacy Mills, Peter Melchior, and John Lodge. He completed his training with the Guild in 1990 and his Advanced Training in 1994. He assisted Nilce Silveria and Neal Powers in 1996 and 1998 for the Basic Guild Trainings. During this time he discovered his passion for teaching the work. For twelve years, starting in 2002, Larry taught Tom Myers’ Anatomy Trains & Kinesis Myofascial Integration. Today, Larry’s focus has shifted back to his roots in the teaching of Dr. Rolf’s Classic Ten Series of Structural Integration. For Larry, the Advanced Five Series is the ultimate holistic expression for those who seek a deeper process of embodiment.
