Course Description:

Rolf's Ten Series taught as a perceptual, coordinative, and psychobiological approach to structural integration, through the ten series curriculum of Rolf Movement® Integration. Each session involves specific work on the table, seated, standing, and in motion, using various forms of educational touch, while clients remained clothed comfortably for movement. This offers a chance to vastly broaden one's client base since fascial mobilization is not required. Theory and techniques includes the Tonic Function Model created by Hubert Godard, through which Rolf Movement Integration bases plasticity in motor patterns on the gravity response/gravity orientation nature of the human body. It is an information based model for lasting change in posture and coordination.Class time will involve theory, demonstrations and partnered exchange, a spectrum of integrative opportunities each day, and discussion about the application of the work to one's practice. Articles on Tonic Function can be found at www.resourcesinmovement.com under article archive.
